RCAS are active in protecting the amenity of the area

• by promoting the preservation of Victorian street lighting standards
  and using appropriate modern replacements
• by keeping a check on potential problems for pedestrians,
  cyclists and other road users
• by monitoring proposed changes to traffic flows, road markings and parking
• by encouraging reporting of grafitti, fly tipping and overgrown hedges
• by campaigning for restoration of street furniture
