The Bristol NPs (Neighbourhood Partnerships) are about devolving council power back to local councillors and residents for decisions on very local issues like minor traffic works, road and pavement repairs and parks maintenance and improvements; and to influence council services in the area. Neighbourhood Partnerships meet every three months to take decisions. Forum meetings for residents to raise issues are also held every 3 months on a ward by ward basis. Police, local councillors and BCC officers attend to update the forum on what actions have been taken to address issues raised at previous meetings or through other community engagement processes. RCAS has two representatives on the BCR Neighbourhood Partnership; they stand for election at each AGM. The current representatives are Clive Stevens and Alison Bromilow. Clive is the NP tree representative, on the Highways task group and is currently chair of the Neighbourhood Partnership, Alison is on the Communications and Engagement task group and is coordinating the Parks task group for the NP.
