With a stable membership of around 1300, RCAS contributes significantly to the life and amenities of the area. New members are always very welcome to take part in the activities and enjoy the society’s many achievements. RCAS members are vital in providing support and overseeing initiatives such as, providing new play equipment, trees and seating in our local green spaces of Cotham Gardens and Redland Green. There are opportunities for being ‘hands on’ in tree planting working parties or actively participating in issue led groups or volunteering at events.. RCAS Membership is by household so there are benefits for all ages. From exploring and being inspired by members’ gardens as part of the Open Gardens Sunday to enjoying sociable talks and guided walks. Whether sharing local history, awarding good building design or being part of the largest local community event, that is the Redland May Fair. RCAS has many roles for its many members. The quarterly RCAS newsletter is key to providing all RCAS members with news and information about the Society's activities. Each seasonal edition is delivered to RCAS members' households by much appreciated volunteers. An ‘old fashioned’ practice but one, which as well as keeping overheads low, provides a personal link with the Society. So if you live in Redland or Cotham, why not be part of this local Society? Your £10 annual membership will help protect and enhance our area, its architecture, trees, parks and amenities. So come and share enjoyable events, learn more and have an influence on your neighbourhood, join RCAS
