CONTACTS FOR PUBLIC SERVICES

The Committee encourages members to make full use of the information and other services provided to them by the Council, and other authorities, including the various helplines and internet reporting arrangements. We often hear of problems and find that that no-one has reported them, so nothing has been done. Regular reporting does raise standards.

The contacts given here are believed correct as at March 2007.

Planning Applications can now be seen on www.ukplanning.uk.com. Select Bristol >Search applications.

Also on the Council website www.bristol.gov.uk . Select Planning > public access. You need the application number to search. These are very valuable facilities. You can study the drawings, take prints, and make comments on-line. Please copy your comments to RCAS Planning Group!

Licensing Department.  For queries and complaints about licensed premises. 0117 914 2500.  licensing@bristol.gov.uk. The Register of Applications is on www.bristol.gov.uk > search for Licensing.

Refuse and Recycling General enquiries 0117 922 3838. The City Council website provides full information: www.bristol.gov.uk > Environment & planning > Recycling, rubbish & waste. You may check collection dates for your street here.

Complaints about pavement obstruction due to bins left out or misuse of services, etc 0117 922 3838 or email to trudy.feeney@bristol.gov.uk. You may submit digital pictures of the problem.

Graffiti on street furniture and public property should be reported to the Council on 0117 903 1221  customerservicesnhs@bristol.gov.uk. They will inspect and put it on their work schedule. If you are on-line you can report Graffiti this way, with a digital picture if you wish. Go to www.bristol.gov.uk  > community> crime prevention. You can also report Fly Tipping and Anti-social Behaviour on this website. 

Noise pollution

Whilst every effort will be made to visit you, a response will be dependent on the demands on the team at the time of your call. If you cannot call during noise nuisance please report as soon as possible afterwards.
